ORDINO / LOCATION: PYRENEES MOUNTAINS, ALTITUDE OF APROX. 1,298 METERS, 9 km FROM THE CAPITAL
With average elevation of nearly 2,000 meters and low population density, Ordino provides a pristine "canvas" for viewing the night sky, often rated for its excellent visibility.
HIGHLIGHT: Mirador Solar de Tristaina (2,701 meters) offers a 360°, unobstructed view over the Tristaina glacial cirque.
ENGOLASTERS LAKE / LOCATION: ENACAMP PARISH, elevation - 1,616 meters
Accessibility: The lake is easily accessible by car or by taking the free bus service to the area.
Location: While the dam area provides good vantage points, venturing into the surrounding forest area or walking the paths around the lake can provide even darker spots.
Facilities: There are restaurants nearby but the area is mostly known for its untouched natural feel.
